This dual porch with connecting deck addition was built in the Summer of 2015 in Lenox, MA. Customers wanted to preserve the light coming into the house, and thus decided on the two-porch design, each having their own entrance off the house, and each with it’s own staircase going down to the stone patio.
The ailing 70s deck was hastily torn off. We spent several days laying everything out, then helical piers were installed and the framing commenced.
Detail abounds in these porches – custom shingling, custom roof bracketry, mitered risers on the stairs connecting to the vertical cedar siding,  zinc window sills running the entire perimeter of each porch, and a secret door under one staircase.
